Topics ranged from building physics to the implementation of sustainable strategies into the ongoing design studio projects. In the last semester the unit on "Buildings pathologies and non-structural rehabilitation" (PRNEE) was used to engage the students with the discovery and resolution of pathologies within the university buildings, with bi-monthly group presentations and a final presentation to the University of Minho Vice-Dean on infra-structures, Prof. Eng. Paulo Ramísio: unforgettable to see the students rising to the occasion. Also participated with enthusiasm in too many other university projects like a large scale multidisciplinary rehabilitation project, in which he participated as co-coordinator and report editor/redactor. In lack of a possible compromise, this activity in the University of Minho had to be stopped to finish the ongoing Ph.D. funded by the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) Show less The task was to "translate" information from the engineering areas into knowledge usable by architecture students, helping them to understand the basic concepts to engage in fruitful conversations with engineers.
