I'd attend AIT at Fort Huachuca, Arizona where I gained my designation as a 15-W, Un-Manned Aerial Vehicle Operator. I would be stationed out of Fort Hood for the next 4 years, during which I'd log flight time in combat theaters including Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom & New Dawn, and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. During my time in deployed environments, I was responsible for the safe operation of an advanced UAS asset, the MQ-1B, I'd gain additional duty positions as a Aircraft Commander, a Mission Commander, and finally a Unit Trainer. I would gain additional duties as I increased both my rank and responsibilities and by the end of Operation Enduring Freedom's tour I was the Night Shift Lead and generated the flight schedule for the entire shift to include 16 Army Personnel and an additional 8-10 Government Contractors.
