Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competitive events. Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations. Monitor athletes' use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use. Explain and demonstrate the use of sports and training equipment, such as kick boards or pull buoys. Ensure that competitions run smoothly and all swimmers are where they need to be. Communicate with athletes about their swimming, and with their parents in regards to any questions or concerns that they may have.
