I was primarily a developer on LOCKSS, an open source system allowing libraries to collect, preserve and provide their readers with access to material published on the Web, and the Carmichael Watson project, a folklore archive. I also implemented the Shakespeare metadata aggregation project Will's World.

Worked on a variety of academic projects, and contributed to several publications. Initially I was employed to design and implement a Java-based tool supporting web-based psychological experimentation. I also worked on an NLP pipeline, an augmented reality system, and natural language speech recognition and synthesis systems. Other tasks included the processing and integration of linguistic corpora, and writing a Java interface to a C-based speech synthesis tool.
