      EDMI Europe is a smart meter manufacturing and distribution company which supplies companies such as SSE with communication equipment and smart meters to their customers. They are part of the EDMI Group with offices around the world supplying meters of varying types to meet different Government guidelines. My responsibilities are: - Creation and submission of the management reports for EDMI Europe to the head office which includes a management pack, company cashflow and segmented sales. - Calculating the monthly VAT return and making monthly payments and cash allocations. - Month end tasks including prepayments, accruals, invoicing control reconciliations, depreciation, fixed asset registers and P&L control account reconciliations. - Creation of new policies and practices to ensure the smooth running of the finance department. For example, changing processes to spread out much of the reporting previously done at month end to reduce the peak of effort. - Coaching and supporting junior team members. - Goods receipts and supplier invoice matching to ensure every invoice has a purchase order before approval and companywide expenses and credit card management. - Monthly discussions with head office to action new group initiatives, for example a new group cashflow reporting structure in response to the impact of Covid 19.
