I recruited Neil into my team, and the wider API Group. From Neil’s first interview I was extremely impressed with his capability, his research and his attention to detail. This relates to academic background and very importantly his interest in people through his sports background and drive for cultural change in business. Following his attendance at a parent company Lean training programme, Neil returned enthusiastic and presented a multi-point document noting his views on what improvements we could engage with. Importantly this was his view on what he wanted to happen, not what he expected others to do. This kick-started a ‘make it right first time’ culture which has had significant impact and formed part our current improvements programme. Neil was also directly customer focussed. Handling the investigations relating to customer experience and visiting customers in Europe. I travelled with Neil and was impressed with his professionalism and his ability to be ‘on point’ with discussions, meetings and action plans. As a team member, I would say that Neil is highly situationally intelligent and can be relied on to have input, support and drive action. With such a broad background and detailed capability, an asset to a team.

An accomplished and influential member of the API Group quality team. It was clear from the outset that Neil was a valued member of the team and always approached by others to execute key pieces of work. Despite being so in demand, he took the time to mentor me during my time at the API group. Any company would be doing themselves a great service to have Neil as a colleague.
