Sandvik’s Contracts Manager for delivery of two Secondary Cone Crushers. Responsible for managing all contractual issues, finalising all claims and close out of the contract. The position required an in depth understanding of Worley/Rio Tinto Design and Supply Contracts, along with industry knowledge of delivering and negotiating with large EPCM’s and major industrial clients. During the role I was successful in achieving Contract Milestone payments and documentation and development of a claims strategy to negotiate client driven change requests, converting into contract variations. The project is now complete and operational. Show less

Project and Engineering Manager – Ethanol Plant Design and Construction. With the onset of COVID, Medihands Australia required to design and construct a new Ethanol plant to provide a local source of Ethanol for Hand Sanitiser products. The plant specification required a minimum of 14,000 L/week production of greater than 95% Ethanol, to be operating within 12 weeks. The project was fast track, with a small group of personnel to deliver the plant. From commencement, I was responsible for all engineering including flowsheet definition, generation of P&ID’s and sizing of all equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, valving, piping and specification of system materials and miscellaneous equipment. On design signoff, I completed plant layouts, piping GA’s and isometric drawings for construction. As project manager I completed all project scheduling and planning for construction, completed commissioning punch listing and planned commissioning. The project was completed in 3 months from start, receiving Mines Dept and local Council approvals to operate within 12 weeks. The plant is in operation and produces well above nameplate capacity Show less

Managing in excess of 100 personnel completing the detailed engineering of PP14 combined cycle power plant for Saudi Electricity Company. A 64,000 man hour ($10M) project to be completed in 3 months. Within 6 weeks of commencement, I had driven the team to fully define the scope and deliverables required, implementing an intrinsic control system to track 9,000 deliverables and generate accurate cost and productivity reports within 24 hrs from weekly close. The team achieved a burn rate in excess of 5,000 man hrs per week and completed 64,000 man hours within 3 months, at a productivity in excess of 0.90. The completed engineering permitted construction to be driven to completion, with an accelerated schedule. Show less
