  Having worked with The Reject Shop for many years, I undertook two roles as a National Store Development Manager where I was responsible for the project management of all new stores to launch and open them in a timely manner and within established budget parameters as well as major refits and relocation's of existing stores. I provided updates to the stakeholders and general managers on a regular basis to inform them of the latest developments and managed and oversaw external contractors and suppliers including contract negotiation during the business set up period to ensure that all the requirements were met. I liaised and coordinated with designers and principal shopfitter and coordinated major fittings and fixture roll-outs to over 250 stores to ensure that specifications were met and undertook space management and department adjacency to maximise spaces.Prior to being a National Store Development Manager, I also worked as a New Store Merchandise Coordinator where I undertook merchandising to attract more customers and commence store operations in a timely manner. I planned and coordinated refits and on-site relocation's to ensure timely completion and installed fixtures and fittings and re-merchandised existing stores to adhere to current standards. I was responsible for training and developing newly-hired team members to ensure full compliance with merchandising standards. Additionally, I identified potential leader to boost the morale of staff and promote career development and developed and implemented sub category department flows and seasonal planogram. I also served as the Relief Area Manager for up to 12 retail stores in the absence of incumbent manager and carried out on-site defect lists and communicated with shopfitters to ensure resolution.
