I have several years' experience producing cost effective infrastructure solutions for a demanding business function in Citi. This role requires me to gather a products non-functional requirements and using architectural models contained within the architecture framework create infrastructure designs based on either analysis of the current infrastructure or by consultation with external vendors. My designs have incorporated ORACLE databases, WebSphere, WebLogic, MQ and Connect Direct, they are mostly SAN (EMC and HDS both with SRDF) connected. I have designed for AIX, Linux, Solaris and Windows on either dedicated or shared (Virtualised) hardware as well as VMware. Asset optimisation is a key driver for all designs and once completed and agreed with the business requestor they are approved by a Global Design Authority to meet both the technical and functional standards, high availability (if required) and Disaster Recovery, before being implemented. As the infrastructure design architect I attend the project managers' meetings at both the pre-design and build phase. Depending on the nature of the project at pre-design I might liaise with different technical and solution SMEs ( Subject Matter Experts) to determine the best solution utilising certified catalogued versions of their technologies. At the build stage I co-ordinate with various technology and OS administrators, many based in off-shore locations, to ensure the design is understood and advise on any questions that may arise.I have produced solutions for our products in North America following the processes above and worked with parties in this location to produce designs using their architectural frameworks. As part of my current role I have regular meetings with my business partners to ensure implemented designs are performing and I am made aware of any forthcoming requirements. • UNIX Team Manager
      • 2006 - 2011

I managed the EMEA CTS UNIX project team, here I was responsible for 7 team members, 4 in Poland and 3 in India. The role was to ensure all business projects were properly scoped, resourced by a SA and followed Citigroup guidelines and procedures. Working with our business application teams and Project Management I agreed timelines and delivery of the infrastructure hardware. All projects follow the Prince 2 methodology (initiate and define, design, implementation and transition) with stakeholder management and benefits realisation underpinning the project lifecycle.
