The Principle of the start-up was to fill the need for doorstep delivery in large apartment complexes during the lockdown when doorstep delivery was not permitted anymore. Senior citizens and working adults did not have the time/health to go to their main gate to collect their parcel every other hour of the day, whether it was big basket , or amazon or dtdc , the average number of parcels… Show more I ran a social entrepreneurial start-up during the lockdown which was successful while there was a need. The Principle of the start-up was to fill the need for doorstep delivery in large apartment complexes during the lockdown when doorstep delivery was not permitted anymore. Senior citizens and working adults did not have the time/health to go to their main gate to collect their parcel every other hour of the day, whether it was big basket , or amazon or dtdc , the average number of parcels collected by a single household was tremendous, especially since everyone was trapped at home. We, a group of teenagers from the apartment started to provide a service, pick up goods from the gate, sanitize it, and deliver it without contact with the doorstep of the client. This reduced the number of contact points for the virus to spread since we are not allowing external delivery agents into the apartment's perimeter. We named this start-up Co-Pickup and ran a monthly subscription model for our service. Show less
