  Before this I was a computer programmer, managing database and cost/ project control for a large engineering company. One of the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda is that we exist at the levels of body, mind, senses and the soul. This 40,000 years old medical system has provided knowledge about the science of “psycho-neuro-immuno-endocrinology”: the biological basis of mind–body physiology and pathophysiology which is now at the cutting edge of modern medicine. In Ayurveda, we use herbs, diet, lifestyle, massage and other treatment protocols to bring changes in the mind that will help also bring changes in the body health. My work as course facilitator for nationally recognized courses, seminars, workshops, retreats and consultations with thousands of clients has deepened my understanding of human psychology and why and how people get sick and how they can truly heal. Understanding emotional intelligence with an Ayurvedic perspective has helped make a difference in my clients’ and students’ lives. There is a place for human values in health & healing, and supporting my clients by including spirituality for health, along with other wellbeing recommendations for practical living. I am a volunteer teacher of Human Values to teenage children. Show less
