Neeraja and I have worked together for 5 years. I found her very intelligent and competitive. She used to handle multiple projects and had proper understanding.

I have experienced Neeraja growth as terrific researcher during her PhD years in NCCS. She is exceptionally trained immunologist in her research area and also at ease in explaining her research topics to general audience. She is also active participant in our seminar series and knows how to pose her criticism in positive manner.

Brief about my PhD work, it was to understand the role of chemokine receptor CCR6 in the differentiation and plasticity of CD4 T cells during gut inflammation. With the help of different in vivo colitis models, clinical samples from ulcerative patients, and in vitro differentiation assays, we established that CCR6 promotes the differentiation of pathogenic Th17 cells and suppress Treg differentiation and function during colitis I have hands on experience in using flowcytometry, Immunohistochemitry, real time PCR and ChIP.
