This project aims to carry out a complete performance analysis of Kalol Layer IX+X, which includes geological study of Kalol structure, field development history by generating a well location map, study of reservoir and fluid properties through PVT analysis, pressure analysis, Log analysis and production history. Review of field development decisions taken is done by studying its response in terms of production performance of reservoir. Much more detailed work is carried out on a smaller block, which was selected as pilot zone for simulation study. Block is analyzed and worked upon for variants for performance enhancement. As the result of project, a number of variants for production enhancement were suggested, including infill drilling, water injection management and chemical flooding. - Got hand on experience on reservoir engineering work - Developed an insight in field development strategy, water injection planning, pressure analysis, performance analysis, infill location identification, Petrophysical aspect of reservoir engineering. - Learnt Oil Field Manager Software and used to develop well location map for Kalol IX+X - Used Petroleum Expert IPM 4.0 PVTP for PVT analysis. - Worked with Multi Disciplinary Team – I of Kalol - Got an experience of working in MDT - Worked as a part of MDT – I of Ahmedabad Asset, O.N.G.C. for 2 months - Reported directly to Mr. R.K.Vij, DGM (Reservoir) Head, MDT-I, Ahmedabad Asset, O.N.G.C., Ahmedabad. - Carrying on simulation for pilot zone using simulation software package of CMG. - Using actual data for reservoir modelling - Working on variants for production enhancement in the pilot zone.
