UCL Great Ormonds Street work experience week
-
Oct 2022 - Oct 2022
Attended a biochemical/biomedical/ research based work experience at UCL Great Ormond’s Street Institute for Child Health. Over the 5 days we learnt about and saw the use of ground breaking technologies such as microfluidics and cryogenic technology. We then used fluorescents to examine various disease using mouse models with power microscopes, using a computer programme to compile images. There were various other activities such as designing clinical trails, and lectures which we listened to. We spoke to PhD students at UCL and professors about careers, and in general this experience has made my passion for biochemistry even greater! Show less
