  Debt Free London is London’s free face-to-face debt advice service helping over 24,000 Londoners a year with their debt and money worries. The service is funded by the Money and Pensions Service and managed by Toynbee Hall, a charity working for a fairer, happier society since 1884. I have been involved from the inception in implementation of a project to improve the quality and consistency of debt advice across London. My role has included facilitating quality workshops, organising partnership events, and training and introducing policies and procedures to ensure both the advisers delivering debt advice and delivery partners who they work for are compliant with the required standards. In addition to a number of other responsibilities and initiatives, I also moderate our technical supervisors file assessments, report regularly to MaPs, recruit specialist debt advisers, trainees and administrative staff to expand the capacity of Debt Free London to deliver high quality debt advice.
