  My qualifications range from a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management to a Certificate in Education in Teaching in the Life-long Learning sector. I have over 15 years experience of working in Business Management roles and nearly 10 years experience in training and developing staff and working with management on staff Performance. My previous teaching roles have included working with Groundwork in the role of Classroom support/Tutor, Teaching adults on Employability skills and helping learners in a job club. My other recent roles have been that of a Business Support Team Leader and Personnel Team leader at Oldham Council I currently deliver Carbon literacy training because I feel very passionate about trying to make our planet safe for future generations. I have since developed /designed our own training programme for Carbon literacy workshops and enjoyed delivering within the community and schools. The package can be tailored to meet the needs of a variety of audiences. As part of this programme I recruit volunteers from the community to become trainers. I have developed a ‘Learning/training strategy for engaging others to carry out training’ in this field. The ‘Train the Trainer’ module includes skills like mentoring, presenting, coaching, time management and organisational skills. I have also written a course ‘Project in Sustainability’ level 1 (3) and managed to get this accredited through Open Awards. As Part of my trainer role, I have put together a couple of food courses for the local community and I am in the process of delivering the second one of these at the end of this month. I am also helping support a programme for ‘Creative English’ which is being delivered to the community in East Salford at the Ascension church, it is a course designed by author Dr Ann Smith that involves learning English using real life situations/scenarios for those who have no or very little English and is drama based.
