Christopher Harrison
Neal is a great programmer and problem solver. In team meetings I often found that as the thrust of the conversation was moving in a particular direction, Neal would calmly and quietly say 'have you thought about x?' Invariably 'x' would be an angle that no one else was thinking about and ended up having a massive impact on the solution. I believe Neal saved the team many hours of work going in the wrong direction. Neal's also a great leader/mentor. He's well liked by everyone, is always calm and collected and excellent at managing conflicting priorities.

Neal is a fantastic individual and I had the great pleasure of working alongside him on the backend team at Funeral Guide. I always appreciated his sharp mind whenever I needed an opinion. I could always count on him to look at a problem in an entirely new way. As well as his technical abilities, Neal possesses great personal skills and he is very capable of leading a team. COSMIC is a not-for-profit organisation delivering IT training and web design. I was initially employed as an IT trainer. Whilst in this role I taught IT skills to a range of people, from children to adults with disabilities and learning difficulties. If I wasn’t teaching I enhanced their processes by writing a number of web based apps to manage course bookings and customer relations. When their lead web developer left they were in the middle of delivering their first e-commerce platform. Due to the skills and initiative that I had shown, I was asked if I would take a sideways step in the business. At the time the options for e-commerce were limited and cumbersome, so I wrote (from the ground up) a basic e-commerce site using ASP and an Access database. Within three years the site was generating over £250,000 per year. After building the site, I was asked if I would like to manage the web development team. Show less
