Women’s Campus Ministry Intern
-
Aug 2019 - May 2020
I had the joy serving as a intern for my church during my senior year of college. I was the liaison between the students of St. Mary’s Catholic Center and the staff, providing insight to the population they were ministering to. I was mentored throughout the year by the Women’s Campus Minister, and together we planned and executed events to build women’s community. The interns were also in charge of planning and executing events for the student body, like our semi-formal and worship nights. Our goal was to build community and provide a positive lasting impact for the students to take with them after college. Show less

Event Planning Intern
-
Jan 2019 - May 2019
The City of Bryan is one of the leading small town tourist destinations in Texas, attracting over 100,000 people a year for various events. Shadowing the Lead Event Planner for the City of Bryan, I had a front row seat in planning and budgeting meetings for their largest events. I was there to execute all the events in the spring of 2019, and brainstorm and prepare for upcoming events that fall. In addition, community is a huge aspect of the city, so we periodically visited the small businesses to coordinate with their schedules and support them with our efforts. Show less

Event Management Intern
-
Jun 2018 - Aug 2018
I assisted the Lead Event Coordinator in executing 8 weddings in the summer of 2018. I learned how to communicate with vendors, create an event that is timed and paced successfully, and practically use my critical thinking skills when something went wrong throughout the day.
