  I was responsible for gathering information and photos from the president and founder of Western Wishes, Donnalyn Quintana. I then compiled the information into context for the Western Wishes web site. Web pages that I helped to update were the Wish Stories page, where I put the stories into a timeline format; the About Us page, where I collected Board of Director bios and photos and posted them as well as Executive Staff bios and photos. I helped to update the Donations page as well. As Communications Director, I was event manager/producer of the "Eight Seconds to Glory" Charity Gala; an "Eight Seconds" movie cast and character reunion. There were three of us working on the event. We raised over $85,000 in cash and in-kind donations in just under 80 days. Actor/Director Luke Perry and Actor Stephen Baldwin attended; and entertainment included RFD-TV Host of "Rodeo and Beyond" Susie Dobbs, Christian Contemporary Artist Rhonda Gunn, Country Music Artist Susie McEntire, and 2011 American Idol Finalist John Wayne Schulz. Over 400 people attended and dined on grilled steak and shrimp. Other event-related duties included writing sponsor proposals; editing TV and radio advertising content; event production script; and created a blog for Western Wishes entitiled "Western Wishes Warriors".
