I worked with Nathan on a system assurance review of a key piece of RBS infrastructure which provided a significant value channel of £1bn per month to the group with a base of some 115,000 customers and more than 300,000 end users. This was a highly complex review with multiple stakeholders in multiple divisions. The review was picked up in a red status and he successfully turned it around to green. Nathan is clearly results driven and a person you can trust when you want to be sure that an important challenging project will be delivered.

When Nathan joined RBS Group our process for exiting supplier relationships while managing information security requirements such as the return, destruction or legitimate retention of data was not fit for purpose. As an organisation we have around 45-50,000 suppliers globally, this equates to spend of around £6-7bn. Approximately 1,000 of these supplier are considered Major rated suppliers, i.e. Suppliers that would have an impact of £10m+ should their confidentiality, integrity or availability be compromised. Nathan worked with a number of senior stakeholders to capture requirements, redesign process flows, update documents and tools and communicate those changes to all that were impacted. This project was ultimately successful and we now have a clear and functioning process to support our global business in exiting supplier relationships safely and securely.
