My primary work at this position was doing gene discovery in medicinal plants via transcriptomics, clustering analysis, and both in vivo and in vitro experiments. This went hand an hand with doing significant amounts of synthetic biology focusing on heterologous pathway reconstitution of pharmacologically relevant secondary plant metabolism.
