Bio
Nina Otey, MBA
I had the great honor of working for Mr. Rightsell in GTMO under the Interpreter Operation Element. Mr. Rightsell is extremely knowledgeable, and understands the elements of his decisions and how it can impact others and the foreseeable mission. I have great confidence in him as a leader and a contributor to the intelligence community. I would hope that our professional paths cross again one day.
Robert Brandon
During the time I had the privilege of working with Nate (and I worked with Nate at the end of my 20-year active-duty/reservist career), he served as my deputy managing over 100 military and contractor linguists. Our responsibilities were centered on translation services, both written and oral, and accountable to several high-profile end-users. There was lots of pressure, lots of simultaneous tasking, but not always a lot of time. Nate handled the day-to-day management of the work and did so superbly: we never missed a deadline or even the most short-noticed task, and he worked effectively across a wide variety of military, commercial, and social communities and cultures. He was a loyal subordinate, committed to the goals of the organization, and he was also a loyal supervisor to those who he had charge over. A careful manager; his firmness and attention to detail never drifted into micromanagement. Any entity - business, military, or nonprofit - who has Nate as part of its team has someone it can trust and rely upon with confidence and gratitude. I have never worked with anyone better.
