Work on small, single interaction web and mobile educational games targeting early readers. Each game was worked on by a single developer, so I took a game from ideation, through prototyping, and into full development. Unity was used for prototyping and React Native and Unity were used for full production of games. Transitioned to contractor after the initial internship. Cloud Applications Software Developer
-
Jun 2014 - May 2017
Developed two cloud platforms for secure printing and other applications. One is aimed at small to medium businesses and single IT administrators. I helped maintain the cloud system along with developing applications for the platform, exposing interfaces for third party developers to release applications for the platform, and keeping the web and printer interfaces clean, easy, and consistent to use. Majority of the platform is developed in Java with AngularJS for web browsers and JavaScript for the printer interfaces. The second is aimed at businesses of any size. I delivered secure API's which expose select information from fleets of devices which is helpful to IT administrators managing hundreds to thousands of printers. The platform is using the .Net Framework in C# with an AngularJS frontend framework. Show less

Supported the database for a multimillion dollar company by investigating and implementing changes suggested by employees and managers of the company. After receiving a service request for a change, I would investigate the process to be updated by analyzing the effect on all work flows. I then made the change requested or worked with the employee to find a different solution to their problem. Programming was in Dataworks environment called Dataflo in a older version of HP-UX. Research Assistant
-
Mar 2012 - Apr 2014
Worked on three separate projects for three separate professors. One project was upgrading a Monte Carlo simulation of Cytochrome B6F (a process in the photosynthetic chain) to accept pH change as a parameter. Results were analyzed in Matlab and the simulation was in Fortran 77. The second was initial work on a simulation for the solidification process of the continuous casting of different metals. Most work was background research, but some programming was done in C++. Lastly, a 2-D numerical simulation of a "amphibian" swimming model moving in different types of water motions. Programming for this is in C. Show less

Math Teaching Assistant

Assist students in Business Precalculus and Business Calculus with material they needed additional help with outside of class. Some of the duties for this included holding office hours every week, grading homework, offering tutoring hours to all students, and explaining difficult concepts differently than in lecture. The number of students in each class was around 200.
