Over the past 18 months I have been working for Welling United Football Club, completing a range of different duties. One of my main jobs whilst working at Welling, is to work within different schools completing coaching sessions during after school clubs. This has enabled me to complete various football sessions making sure I have a variety of coaching skills to deliver to all different ages and abilities. Another area which I have worked in whilst at the club is helping with the coaching and managing teams in the academy section of the club. This is a new part of Welling United, where a range of players of the highest ability from there age group will be put together to play against other academy’s from across the country. I have delivered training sessions of a higher standard to accommodate the children taking part in the academy section with more advanced skills. In turn, this also helped with the managing of the under 7 academy team against other academy teams. I have also taken on two of my own teams which I coach on a weekly basis and help the mangers with the running of the team on a Sunday; which is match day. This has increased my knowledge of coaching a team as well as my knowledge of managing, working alongside not only the players but also communicating with the parents to ensure I am getting the best for the children that I am coaching over the season. Now I have taken on full time employment I now work within just my own teams coaching them on a weekly basis on a Saturday morning for training and Sunday morning for matches. Show less

During my time at capita I have undertaken two weeks of intensive training learning the systems which are used in the company and how to deal with all of shareholder’s queries. Capita look after shareholders from thousands of companies across the world and it is part of my job as an information consultant to deal with queries from shareholders, solicitors, nominee companies and banks. On a day to day basis I have to answer incoming calls and call back shareholders from a range of different companies which capita look after their shareholders and deal with the enquiries which they have ranging from changing an address on the register to issuing new certificates and giving them any information they need on their shareholding including share prices and dividend information. Now I have experience in dealing with shareholder’s I have now been moved to the corporate actions team where we deal with calls from shareholders in regards to the company which they hold shares in going through a corporate action such as a takeover, I have begun working closing with colleagues who have high knowledge in this area and learning what a corporate action may mean for a company its shareholders and the shares in that company, I have only recently moved to this team and will soon complete full training so I will be able to complete these type of phone calls alone. Whilst working for Iceland food stores, I have worked within a team of sales assistants where I have been working on stock control and making sure that the store is of a high standard for all customers which shop in our store. During my shift, I also work on the tills serving customers and working face to face with all customers dealing with their problems and helping them to solve them so their shopping trip is as easy and problem free as possible. Another area which I have worked on is changeover this meant moving stock around and making sure all new promotions are noticeable and where the customer can realistically see them best to make sure they are always drawn towards them. After working at Iceland food stores for a long period time I now can run my own section of the store and this will mean that I can not only work by myself but lead a team of people into making sure that my part of the store is at the highest standard possible ready for the opening trade the next day. I also deal with cashing up the store at the end of the day of trade this involves counting the money which the store has taken, making sure the tills are stocked up for the next day of trade and placing the money in the safe ready for collection. This shows im responsible because of the amount of money which is counted throughout my time of cashing up Show less

During my time working for the community section of Millwall Football Club, I worked in both schools and after school clubs delivering coaching sessions. This has enabled me complete a different set of football sessions making sure I have a high range of coaching sessions to deliver to different ages and abilities. During the half terms, I also worked alongside a team of coaches where we arranged and run half term football camps which meant working all day and looking after the children over a range of time helping them increase their skill level and making sure they enjoy their half term football camp. I also worked closely in the Premier League Kicks Sessions, which involved working in areas of Bermondsey to give young people the opportunity to get involved in football and off the streets. This also gave children from different local areas in and around the local area of Millwall football club stadium to play against each other gaining good opportunities for the teams which get to the final.
