Following 14 years post qualification experience, I became Director of Brewster Bye Architects in 2013 specialising in ExtraCare and residential sector projects. Beginning as Architectural Assistant in 1999 for David Wood Architects, I went on to become project architect following qualification in 2001 forming Arc7 Design in 2004, where, as partner, I was responsible for jobs ranging from £1 - £16 million. This role enabled me to develop management responsibility for resourcing, financial planning, new business and marketing. Alongside my current role as team leader for the public sector team, my position as Director largely involves resourcing and project supervision. My extensive knowledge of statutory regulations, design guidance and procurement strategies has enabled me to deliver a number of multiple long term projects from feasibility through to completion. This includes the 98 and 86 apartment ExtraCare schemes in Derby and Telford for Sanctuary Housing, Doncaster’s Lakeside waterside scheme for 51 contemporary family homes, and The Gables, Doncaster city centre’s new build scheme for 97 homes which reinterpreted the terraced house.
