I’ve had the privilege of working with Nathan for little more than 10 months now and in that time I have known him to be a well-grounded and down to earth colleague. I found it incredibly valuable that he is a law graduate and STEP qualified. His skills have allowed him (and for those who work with him) the ability to explore and understand nearly all possible perspectives to an idea and its numerous applications. He is a hard worker and value creator in the truest sense.

I was promoted to Assistant Manager while forming part of the Central & Eastern European team, mainly dealing with Russian clients.Being part of the CEE team has allowed me to further improve my technical ability since I am continuously called upon in terms of reviewing legal documentation, ranging from loan agreements, share purchase agreements, deeds of assignment, contribution and subscription agreements to name a few.

I started at Abacus forming part of its Corporate team as a company administrator mainly dealing with large multinational clients. I remained with the team for 18 months at which point i was called upon to assist the trust department. During my time with the corporate team i enhanced my technical experience by reviewing detailed step plans, drafting various corporate agreements as well as attending meetings to assist in minute taking. During these two years at Abacus i successfully completed my STEP professional qualification, which has provided me with some further expertise. During my brief spell within the trust department allowed me to develop further skills such as analysing and producing income and capital spreadsheets for trust clients for future distributions. As can be seen my other previous experience, i had a dual role at this early stage of my career. I performed the duties of running with a trust department on my own, ranging from setting up trusts, meeting with potential clients, arranging distributions etc. I also embarked upon the STEP Professional qualification during my spare time. The experience gained during this time proved invaluable in my early days of my career. As can be seen my other previous experience, i had a dual role at this early stage of my career.
