I created an economic impact report for the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (LANOIA). In this report, I break down the amount spending, earnings, and jobs created as a result of the Airport’s existence in the New Orleans MSA. Additionally, I take LANOIA's Capital Improvement Plan into consideration to project what the economic impact of the Airport will be five years in the future. Additionally, I conducted reference calls and background checks to assist with the New Orleans… Show more I created an economic impact report for the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (LANOIA). Advantage Capital is a private equity company focused on bringing capital and quality jobs to underserved communities, and throughout this internship I have worked for their legislative team, their data team, and their InState Partners consulting team. For the InState team, I have researched markets and created reports and slide decks for current and potential portfolio companies. For the legislative team, I have created memos on existing research and legislation. I also researched private… Show more Advantage Capital is a private equity company focused on bringing capital and quality jobs to underserved communities, and throughout this internship I have worked for their legislative team, their data team, and their InState Partners consulting team. I researched different pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies that would potentially be interested in Fluence Analytics' product. I used this information along with LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find employees at these companies most likely to be interested in the product, and helped set up intro calls. I reached out to Medicaid programs in all 50 states and asked when the programs started covering a certain drug, as well as when they started requiring prior authorization for the drug. By doing this, I helped determine whether the drug was effective or not by seeing if states with increased accessibility to the drug had fewer cases of what the drug helped to prevent. I researched schools and the 15-18 year old demographic and determined why Conquer's app would be beneficial to high school students. From this research, I created pitch decks that brought all of the research together in a clear and consise way. I also reached out to principals and athletic directors to guage the overall interest in the app. I researched schools and the 15-18 year old demographic and determined why Conquer's app would be beneficial to high school students. My first year working here, I sold lemonade and ice cream out of a cart in front of the Gateway Arch's entrance and refilled the vending machines inside the arch. I was also in charge of keeping track of the inventory of supplies so we knew when to order more. My second year I sold snowcones and souveniors to tourists from two stores down by the riverfront called "Archie's" and "Louie's". My third year I worked in the warehouse where I would print barcodes, put them on products, and then repackage them and place on a pallet that would be picked up and taken to the main store. I also worked in the stock room where I organized the merchandise and picked up items sent from the warehouse. I also refilled any products that dwindled in supply in the store before it opened and throughout the day. By working in nearly every facet of the organization for an extended period of time, I developed a good understanding of how national parks are run.
