As a research assistant, I collaborate with the grant research team studying longitudinal recovery from alcoholism. My primary role is to conduct data management and develop statistical modeling scripts (e.g., Structural Equation Modeling, Item Response Theory, Bayesian Analyses) and applied psychometrics (e.g., measurement invariance testing). This grant leverages publicly accessible data from The National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (ADD Health). Because this study requires secondary data analysis, the project is inherently data management intensive. As a result, I developed analytical skills using statistical software packages (e.g., R) to transform, wrangle, handle missingness, and visualize data (e.g., using tidyverse, ggplot2, mice, lavaan). My data management and visualization skills complement my comprehensive research training and enable me to complete tasks on project teams that span from the initial design to data collection and completion of the specified deliverables (e.g., manuscripts, presentations, and reports).
