  Primary job function is to coordinate with property owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and code officials in order to produce CAD files for the installation of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in commercial structures. Requires the following skills: - Maintain track of several projects at once to make sure each is completed on time. - Rapidly generate AutoCAD files to submit to the client for preliminary feedback and redesign. - Consistently update existing AutoCAD files to keep up with incoming changes from other disciplines or the owner. - Clearly interpret, as well as communicate, design intent via verbal, written, and graphical means. - Select products such as air handlers and water heaters that meet the client's needs. - Check to make sure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans are sufficient to meet the various building codes of different municipalities. - Use Microsoft Excel for the purpose of calculating things such as the electrical loads across multiple electric panels, required ventilation for rooms, and plumbing fixture calculations. - Maintain a thorough and organized file system for the purpose of ease of access and record keeping.
