In the short time that i have worked here, I have become the third shift Welding Robotic Programmer. It is my responsibility to set up, and inspect parts as new jobs come in. I have the freedom to move and place jobs where I feel they will run the most efficent as well as suggust which employees will be the best canidate for the job. As an extra, I am also logging how efficient each job is running so that maybe in the future the company may use this information to better plan jobs by how well they run to get the best quality and efficency. I started in the robotic department learning how to operate and eventually how to program welding robots. I also became one of the lead hand welders in this department in both MIG and TIG welding. Taking on our most detailed oriented customers products. These companies include but are not limited to Oshkosh Truck, Angie, Schutt, and JLG Industries. After two years in this department i moved to manual welding where i learned the art of thin gauge MIG welding. Finally after one year in this department i was asked by our plant manager to build, learn, and operate a Kinetic plasma cutting and machineing center, where i gained experience in milling, drilling, tapping, and automated plasma cutting on material up to three inches thick.
