  As part of a selected delegation, i represented the European Law Students' Association ("ELSA"), which has observer status in several UN Committees, in front of the Intergovernmental Bioethics Committee ("IGBC") which had its 8th meeting in Paris at the UN Headquarters from the 5th to the 6th September 2013. The IGBC, which consists of 36 member states and meets at least once every two years, informs the International Bioethics Committee ("IBC") and thus the UNESCO of its opinion considering bioethical problems and considerations as well as developments since the last meeting. We took part in the sessions and had several discussions with other delegates, e.g. the representatives of Germany, New Zealand among others and afterwards we informed ELSA about the progress which had been made.
