Nathan and I were seconded into IMKAN Properties from different organisations. Nathan in the role of Project Director and direct supervisor to myself in the role of Senior Project Manager and also the wider multidisciplinary team. During our time on the project, Nathan continually demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, and a considered and well thought out approach to managing teams. From a day to day delivery perspective, Nathan worked with the team to structure each persons’ task allocation, which allowed the teams to be autonomous / responsible and accountable for their work, whilst working within the framework of set deliverables and programmes. Nathan brings a disciplined, thoughtful and steady but firm handed approach to managing both internal teams and consultants. He has navigated internal and external approvals as well as the shifting goals that accompany such a large commercial development project in uncertain times maintaining a clear structure that has had various agendas and stakeholders. All done with a positive attitude that astonishes me. Coming from a design background, I have particularly appreciated Nathan’s understanding and embracing of the IMKAN’s desire of creating a unique story for each project that embodies the intention and principles of the project.
