I’ve worked with Nathan since 2017 when he joined the IMKAN team as Project Director on one of our flagship projects – AlJurf; A second home destination located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. IMKAN is a real estate developer that is heavily invested in place-making and our communications and sales strategies are routed in creative storytelling using non-traditional platforms. Our team works extensively with the development team from inception of a project, and I have to say that from day 1 working with Nathan has been an absolute pleasure. We are a demanding developer and client, working under tight timelines and within strict budgets. Nathan, consistently proved to be a valuable member of our team and a true asset to us. He always manages to exceed expectations and goes above and beyond what is required. His dedication, passion, impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, immense capacity to adapt, and creative ability even under the tightest deadlines and challenges that have arisen are a few of his outstanding qualities. Nathan has mastered the art of working well under pressure, and has one of the healthiest attitudes to work with and constantly earned the respect of everyone he interacts with– from suppliers to partners, to upper management and colleagues. Nathan stepped up to the plate and delivered the desired results despite facing challenges and obstacles along the way over the last few years. He was our go-to on AlJurf, whether it was project management, design, or site supervision requirements. I truly hope that our professional paths will cross again in the future and that I’ll have the honor of working with him again.

I consider myself to be incredibly fortunate to have worked with Nathan for over 2 years on a vast and extremely complex mixed use masterplan project called AlJurf. Nathan and I were seconded into IMKAN Properties from different organisations. Nathan in the role of Project Director and direct supervisor to myself in the role of Senior Project Manager and also the wider multidisciplinary team. During our time on the project, Nathan continually demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, and a considered and well thought out approach to managing teams. From a day to day delivery perspective, Nathan worked with the team to structure each persons’ task allocation, which allowed the teams to be autonomous / responsible and accountable for their work, whilst working within the framework of set deliverables and programmes. He was extremely supportive and directional in a friendly and professional way, and I have learned a lot under Nathan’s leadership. Not only would Nathan consistently demonstrate his outstanding technical leadership, he consistently demonstrated a thorough, unwavering approach to developing the knowledge of the teams that supported him. Nathan naturally passed on his wide ranging industry and project management experience to myself and the wider team, despite us being seconded from different companies. Not only that, he was approachable and personable and the team enjoyed working together. Myself and the team that supported Nathan are better project managers as a result of working with Nathan and observing his truly outstanding technical abilities equally coupled with his model behaviours. I hope our professional paths will cross again in the future.

I have had the pleasure of working with Nathan since we started at IMKAN the same week in the fall of 2017. We had both come to IMKAN to work on a large complex development project locate half way between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Aljurf. My role had been Design Director and his has been and is ongoing as Project Director. While Project Director is a big title, it is not large enough to encompass all of the roles Nathan has taken on over the life of the project. Nathan has command over the process based project management needed for this type of development. This is coupled with a broad understanding of design thinking from master planning to architectural detailing to site supervision. Nathan brings a disciplined, thoughtful and steady but firm handed approach to managing both internal teams and consultants. He has navigated internal and external approvals as well as the shifting goals that accompany such a large commercial development project in uncertain times maintaining a clear structure that has had various agendas and stakeholders. All done with a positive attitude that astonishes me. Coming from a design background, I have particularly appreciated Nathan’s understanding and embracing of the IMKAN’s desire of creating a unique story for each project that embodies the intention and principles of the project. I cannot recommend Nathan enough - his professionalism and breath of talent are a rarity.
