Richard Dubnansky
LT Nathan Greenwood served with me on USS TENNESSEE (SSBN 734) from 2011 through 2014 when I was Commanding Officer. During that time, he was assigned to the positions of Reactor Controls Assistant, Communications Officer and most significantly, my Assistant Operations Officer. He demonstrated time and again his ability to manage personnel and equipment in routine, high priority and crisis situations. It is difficult to describe the magnitude of his duties as Communications Officer and Assistant Operations Officer. Both jobs hold responsibility far beyond the typical college graduate. But Nathan is far from typical, and excelled at every task. He flawlessly maintained highly classified material, vital to National Security, as well as being responsible for the training of his peers and subordinates on its use and implementation. The mission of the USS TENNESSEE depended directly on his team's ability to execute, and Nathan never disappointed. His skills in team building, project management, hands-on and simulation based training will be an asset to whatever organization snaps him up first. His primary watch stations on the ship, in the Nuclear Reactor Control Room and the Ship's Control Room give him a broad base in plant management, as my direct representative managing a Nuclear Submarine, about $2.5B in capital infrastructure. He also has experience in operations and maintenance of a range of systems including high pressure, high temperate steam and nuclear equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic, 450V/3 phase AC/DC systems and PLCs.
