  Having been offered the chance to return, I did so and spent the summer filing paper plans for various buildings in Tomball in an electronic format, as well as measuring response time for various zones from various fire stations in and around Tomball Fire Department's district. Also spent time working with firefighters and keeping the stations stocked with required materials (including sanitizers, dish soap, etc.) and acquiring information for future grant applications.   During this time, worked closely with Command Staff to improve firefighting capability (including performing hydrant testing, transferring pre-fire plans from an outdated administrative system to a newer system). Also worked with the Fire Marshal's Office to transfer paper inspection records into a digital filing system.
