As Chief Instructor I undertake to maintain standards of RYA recognition. I hold a responsibility for the day-to-day standards of training, equipment maintenance and wellbeing of the students and instructors. Constantly ensuring must ensure that instructors are suitably experienced and competent for the particular role they are being asked to fulfil. I'm keenly engaged with the day-to-day operation of the centre to enable adequate oversight of all processes relating to course booking and delivery.

I was also in this role for summers 2013 , 2014 and parts of summers 2015 & 2017.- Repaired windsurfing and sailing equipment using fiberglass, epoxy resins and power tools. This was done in inline with the safety precautions in line with the COSHH guidelines. - Drove safety boats, performed challenging rescues on windsurfing equipment, people and boats.- Guided group bike rides ranging in distance and terrain, offering technique advice and giving a health and safety briefing before the ride. - As one of the senior instructors on the beach I ran training sessions for new and less experienced staff, ran orientation for them and advised on the delivery of the RYA syllabus.
