Founded the Military Augmentee program, designed to allow active duty service members the ability to explore Law Enforcement as a follow on career after separation from the military. Augmentees participated in a robust ride-a-long program and performed duties such as security patrols, crowd control and pedestrian traffic control in conjunction with Escambia County Sheriff's deputies at local events such as the Blue Angel Homecoming Airshow at Pensacola Beach, and special events such as President Obama's visit to Pensacola after the oil spill in June of 2010. Training was conducted with the Reserves and included EVOC, Range Qualification, Active Shooter/building clearing and Tactical Communications among other topics. The group is multi-service and includes Army reserves, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard members.
