  Responsible for design and architecture of complex systems, zero-downtime infrastructure upgrades, and long term planning with a focus on leveraging new technologies and IT commercialization. Designed a process to enable “one-touch” server deployment and wrote all Powershell and Linux shell scripts to implement the solution making it possible for customers to self-deploy servers tailored to their specific customization needs. Successfully executed full UCS upgrade from 1.4 to 2.0 on five UCS clusters with no outages. Acted as an Agile Junior Coach and lead on a nine month operationalization project. Project included tools deployment, process development, documentation, change communication, training and onboarding related to all layers of the private cloud. Re-built ConAgra’s training methodology from the ground up to develop administrators that are more suited to leadership’s vision of IT. Wrote the tools/scripts to execute SLES11 SP2 upgrades, ESX5.1 upgrades and UCS updates. Led the successful initiative.

  Responsible for NIS configuration and management, SuSE 10.2, 11.1 and RHEL 5.5 server standards development and deployment, QA remediation and general server maintenance and support. Managed project to replace NIS as a directory service platform with Active Directory using Quest Authentication Services. Designed Active Directory structure, processes and procedures to manage Unix/Linux authentication including computer and user objects as well as designing group policy management architecture and process design to manage Unix/Linux server standards through Active Directory Group Policy. Played a key role in designing ConAgra’s private cloud based on Cisco UCS hardware virtualization and VMWare ESX4.1i. Designed and managed SuSE and RedHat Virtual Server templates and automated server deployment processes.

  Responsible for Active Directory auditing and management, Windows Server 2003 and 2008 deployment, maintenance, support, and expansion of existing systems as well as architecture, development and deployment of new systems Developed key relationship with internal business units at multiple levels in multiple departments to identify customer needs and deliver appropriate, cost effective solutions quickly and efficiently. Effectively reduced server build and environment construction times by automating key tasks using HTA front ends and VBScripting. Overhauled and condensed ConAgra’s IIS Windows Web environment consisting of over 30 sites and applications to free up resources for reallocation, allow for more efficient monitoring and administration, and provide higher quality of service for customer web applications. Designed and built IIS7.5 infrastructure and managed IIS6 to IIS7.5 migration project for all corporate websites and .NET applications. Managed Citrix upgrade and consolidation efforts to merge five Citrix farms into one corporate farm with no service outages. Project based on system designed by me to provide a far simpler and much more stable environment.
