Responsibilities at Solus are to manage the controls department and handle the design, quotes, and technical support for lighting controls, metering systems, specialty lighting systems, and theatrical lighting and controls. In support of Solus I also conduct training for industry professionals on products, building code requirements, and lighting control system design. I produce technical drawings using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Visio. Furthermore the position includes the final in field commissioning of lighting control systems with owner training and continued system support. Deep Submergence Unit provides submarine rescue for the U.S. Navy and foreign navies. Rescue systems include the Submarine Rescue Diving Recompression System and Submarine Rescue Chamber Flyaway System. Assigned assets include, the Advanced Diving Suit 2000, and primary rescue module called Falcon. Both systems are operable in depths of up to 2,000 ft of seawater. Staffed by active duty, reserve, contractor, and civilian personnel, DSU provides a lifeline for distressed submarines worldwide. For Cascade Lighting I supported all aspects of a lighting controls project from design to installation to commissioning.
