Nathalie is a Director of Lat27 a creative practice that delivers solutions grounded in the realities of place, time and people and the practical application of innovative thought. At the centre of Lat27's design culture is a shared appreciation that the success of a place – regardless of scale or function – is fundamentally determined by its responsiveness to the environment and context of which it is a part. Working in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Australia over the last 25+ years, Nathalie has collaboratively engaged with multidisciplinary teams to produce award-winning outcomes on projects in the realms of urban design, infrastructure, park design, residential design, site rehabilitation and visual impact assessment. She is passionate about the role that design can play in enhancing a project outcome to create sustainable and meaningful places that inspire the people who use them. Nathalie’s most recent experience includes the redevelopment of the Brisbane Showgrounds including developing the master plan for the site and leading the design team on the Plaza and King Street; delivering a new public space and exhibition venue for Brisbane. She was also project director for the delivery of the public realm component to 8 new Ferry Terminals for Brisbane as part of the recovery effort following the floods. Under previous employment, projects completed of note include Southport Broadwater Parklands and Ephraim Island, both on Australia’s Gold Coast; Brisbane’s Clem7 Tunnel and the Millennium Arts Project including the State Library and Gallery of Modern Art. Nathalie is a panel member of the Queensland Urban Design and Places Panel and of Brisbane City Council’s Independent Design Advisory Panel.
