*Same position as in previous post, but only a job title change because I was awarded a grant to conduct my research*Accomplished writer and communicator: • Wrote grants and fellowship applications (i.e.: identified areas needing research, gathered complex information, wrote in clear and concise manner, edited and proofread documents) and was successfully funded through highly competitive government funding opportunities as a Postdoctoral Fellow (FQRSC), and then as an NIH-funded Research Scientist in the U.S.• Published in several high-impact scientific journals in my field, such as Psychological Science, Psychonomic Bulleting & Review, or Current Directions in Psychological Science.• Wrote several projects to be submitted to ethics committees in order to proceed with the lab’s research. • Successfully developed, managed and completed my own NIH-funded research as sole PI, leading to four first-author publications.• Managed lab finances for my mentor from 2009-2015.• Lectured extensively at the undergraduate and graduate level from 2003-2016.• Conducted cutting-edge research using complex data collection methods (eye movement tracking) on the reading processes of deaf readers• Programmed and processed eyetracking data on 20+ projects (in-house programs), and analyzed data (using R). • Trained undergraduate research assistants every year in meticulous data collection procedures and troubleshooting with our SR Research eyetrackers (Eyelink 1000).
