Notable hands-on activities include: * Suggest, steer and deliver innovative solutions to routine problems and new challenges positioning the organization optimistically for the future. * Multiple successful annual upgrades of cornerstone third party software including the leadership of a cross functional team to plan, upgrade and test across business units and multiple third party vendors; identify and verify (many) points of integration to other software - both internal and external; roll out of software and occasionally new hardware as well appropriate updates for various points of integration and follow up issue resolution post roll out. * Identify, implement and support opportunities to develop software that automate routine tasks freeing up staff to focus on greater value add activities. * Manage the implementation and continued well being of numerous integrations with third party partners centered around analytics/reporting, electronic and physical payments and other critical business areas as needed. * Work with staff to identify critical KPIs, leverage existing and collect new data to support these KPIs and provide insights. Routine responsibilities include empowering team members, clearing development road blocks, choosing development technologies, recommending solutions and working with stakeholders both inside and outside of ASR. Additionally responsible for a team of developers; forming and leading project teams as necessary, hiring new development staff and mentoring existing staff. Managed a cooperative development process leveraging internal developers (direct reports) as well as third party vendors to grow the eCommerce business at Family Christian Stores. Implemented a new search solution using the SOLR search engine in Magento to search our catalog of 150,000+ skus to deliver more accurate results to shoppers quicker. Implementation included a major overhaul of the existing Magento SOLR implementation. As a result exits following a search were down over 13% and the average value of transactions following search were up over 21% throughout the holiday season.
