  For 23 years I taught students who had dropped out, been kicked out, or drop-kicked out of high school for truancy, drugs, pregnancy, fighting, etc. We offered a second chance at life. What one offers to their students changes a bit when you realize that yours may be the last science class that they ever have. What skills and talents can you impart that will help them forge a better life?
