ARTiSTORY focuses on cultural IP licensing, supported by storytelling. This is done through 3 business functions: IP asset development, IP licensing and content development. Along with my business partner I set up and built the global business from scratch. Securing multiple museum partners, namely the National Gallery (London), Museum Fine Arts (Boston), Brooklyn Museum (New York), Thyssen Museum (Madrid), Centre Pompidou (Paris) and Benaki Museum (Athens). Recruited, managed and developed teams across design, research, content creation, sales and marketing in EMEA, US and supported the Chinese office. Developed a strong network of sales consultants and agents across the EMEA territory. Pitched to global brands, retailers and manufacturers with aim of them taking a license with ARTiSTORY. Over 50 leads in the pipeline and ready to sign. Show less

Lead and developed the UK licensing programme for all company brands with an estimated retail value of £35 million in 2010. Challenged to grow the existing brands, Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car, and developing and implementing the launch programmes for the new brands, Little Charley Bear and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. Managed a team of four covering both licensing and product development. Responsible for sales analysis and forecasting for the UK and the strategic planning an implementation of ongoing licensing programmes. The team managed 130 licensees and brought in £680k on new business in the last year, of which I was responsible for bringing in £400k. Strong sales and negotiation skills were essential as well as the ability to confidently negotiate and approve deal memos across all categories. A strong commercial understanding of business in general and the retail market place, as well as market trends, is necessary as is a diverse network of licensees and with the ability to develop strong working relationships with licensees and retailers. Managed a team of three we were responsible for Beanstalk’s interaction with retailers across Europe relating to all of their brands. I had responsibilities in the soft goods team, specifically for the health and beauty, jewellery and some apparel categories, with financial targets to meet. During Beanstalk’s representation of Muhammad Ali, for two years, I was the European Brand Manager on the account. Managed the mature licensing program on the mary-kateandashley brand. Working along side my team, we launched the brand in the UK at ASDA, the exclusive retail partner. This involved co-ordinating new product launches and the press event that surrounded the launch. I was responsible for pursuing new licensees for expansion, negotiating deal terms and contracts, and managing them on a daily basis to grow their business in the UK. I organised and set up events, and created and executed marketing activities and promotions across a variety of media formats. Show less

In my first marketing role, I was initially responsible for consumer services, questions, complaints and queries. I was quickly promoted to account handler level, and soon took on responsibility for the Dancing Baby account in the UK (an off-shoot from the Ally McBeal series). This involved liaising with TV, press and magazines to arrange competitions, interviews, features and appearances. I also had to deal with customer sample requests, write press releases and product editorials and help to organise, set up and present at exhibitions. Before leaving Ideal Toys, I was responsible for completing the monthly toy sales forecast for the whole company. Show less
