Corporate Support Officer: • Manage diary appointments, plan/schedule meetings, take meeting notes, ensure documents are prepared in advance, make necessary travel arrangements. • Manage CMT emails to their preference, including delegating to service managers, proactively providing answers to queries, and electronic filing. • Respond to enquiries from colleagues/elected members/public. • Delegate tasks to colleagues, provide copies of relevant documentation, or carry out research to answer any queries received by CMT members. • Progress/initiate requests for information, taking ownership of any such enquiries and ensuring key deadlines are met. • Liaise with managers to produce performance management documents. • Proof read/provide constructive comments on behalf of CMT for press releases, reports, public leaflets, etc. • Set up information management procedures to ensure the most efficient and appropriate systems are being used. • Take an active role in service planning by inputting ideas, challenging current working processes, and inputting into decision making processes. • Act as a ‘critical friend’/‘mystery shopper’ when requested and sensitively suggest improvements to service delivery. • Event management. • Provide support according to the needs of the relevant CMT member. • Provide admin support for emergency planning exercises/actual emergencies. Business Improvement Officer: • Work with relevant managers to identify all admin/back office support and customer facing processes. • Prioritise processes to form implementation plan. • Gather requirements and process map ‘as is’ processes. • Produce options/recommendations reports to be presented to My Fenland Programme Team for improvements. • Produce business cases, eg. if significant investment is required for technology, to be presented to CMT. • Work with cross-council teams to implement agreed options.
