  Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Kids at Play therapy Services. I provide OT services to children with a range of developmental delays, learning difficulties, mental health and/ or behavioral concerns to promote participation and independence and all areas of life. I ensure service provision is family-centre and strength-based and grounded in evidence-based principals focusing on building skils in the areas of: fine and gross motor skill development, handwriting, sensory processing and self-regulation, imaginary play, social skills, attention and self-care.   I have a passion for working with children and am pursuing a career as a paediatric occupational therapist. As an occupational therapist within the education system I support children with disabilities to access the curriculum and meet education goals and outcomes. This role provides a blend of services from direct service provision through to consultation with teaching staff and parents. I work with children with a range of diagnosis focusing on a range of occupational performance areas (self care, student/ academic skills and play and leisure) and sensory-motor, cognitive and psychological performance components relevant to the school setting. Assessment and intervention in the school environment follows a top-down, inclusive and client-centered approach addressing person, environment and occupation components.
