My role revolved around community fundraising across the North East and North West, as well as special events fundraising. I also had experience within corporate fundraising, especially with our biggest corporate supporter, McDonald's. Within community fundraising I was responsible for supermarket initiatives, including organising bag packings, token schemes, and sourcing gift in kind donations for our events. I also supported the team within our schools programmes and have created extensive databases to track our communications, subsequent support, and further communications. One of my main roles in community fundraising was supporter stewardship. This also includes the tracking and issuing of collection materials, as well as other promotional stock, for which I was responsible for replenishing and stocktaking on a regular basis. As well as community and corporate fundraising, and my administrative tasks, I played a significant role in the organisation and execution of several special events. This included our annual carol concert, two golf days, and gala dinner. I ensured all invoicing was complete for our golf days, as well as the design and organisation of all printed materials such as sponsorship banners and auction booklets, and provided on the day support with set up, raffles, and cash handling. For our gala dinner, I took the lead on all design and print materials, including the programme, event tickets, various sponsorship materials, and all internal signage for the venue, working closely with a local design company and our internal marketing team to ensure everything fit the theme of our event, and fit our brand guidelines. I took the lead on our silent auction, working with our volunteers and making asks to various companies to have a varied set of lots that catered to a range of budgets. I was responsible for writing up the lot descriptions, creating packages to boost bids, and was the key individual for the distribution of prizes.

My job as an interactor at the Studio Tour was all about visitor experience. I was situated inside the tour itself, often giving speeches to groups of over 130 people, as well as providing personal guided tours on a more intimate level with smaller groups. When not giving tours or speeches, I could be found in the various zones of the tour where it was my job to talk with visitors, answer any questions they may have, and give impromptu behind the barrier speeches or demonstrations with the props we have on display. Often, we had visitors that were non-native English speakers, meaning that speaking clearly, enthusiastically, and confidently was key in every aspect of my job, something which I do pride myself on for both the scripted speeches and the ones that flowed more naturally. Often places within the tour are fire marshal positions, meaning I had the responsibility of getting both visitors and staff out of the tour safely if a situation does arise. We were a big team, both as interactors and the rest of the employees, and we had to work in sync to ensure that everything within the tour ran smoothly between the departments. This included answering questions, providing support, and being available to help. I was also sometimes available to support our staff members in essential positions, which included covering people for meetings and breaks, guiding visitors to various parts of the tour, and helping with lost property and similar problems.

I worked as a Sales Assistant during the summer after finishing my A Levels and before starting at Bangor University. This was my fourth retail role and my third paid retail position. I further developed my team work skills, having to be on hand to move to different departments when required and had to be able to adapt to a new role efficiently.
