I have known Natasha for over 5 years. Both my kids had her as a 5th-grade teacher at OES. I worked closely with Tasha as a room parent for two years, and I got to know her personally. I absolutely love her as a teacher and a person! She taught the kids how to care about issues and people. She put on a Shakespearean play each year. The students changed the script (with her help). She had all the costumes and if she didn't, she would buy one, or one of the parents would make one. She and the kids would make the backdrop and props. They would learn through Shakespeare the range of human emotions; love, hate, devotion, and fidelity. She was a good listener, thoughtfully responded or asked a question to the student: almost like she was a law school professor - Socratic method. She lived life as an example for all of us. She organized the kids to go see clean cookstoves for Third-World Countries. I also saw her as she handled stress. She would never yell, would always look at the person, and speak to them one-on-one. One time in particular, when a child claimed in front of the whole class another child made an ugly comment about her. She sat all of the kids down in a tight circle and used her magic - the Socratic Method? I did not hear, but the kids were all smiling when they got up. I could go on and on, but like Shakespeare said, "brevity is the soul of wit." But, if you don't hire Natasha Busick "the violent delights have violent ends." :-) Kim Marsh Feller

Natasha Busick is a remarkable person and gifted educator. As parents of two daughters, who have become successful young women, we were blessed that they both had the good fortune to have experienced the energy and exuberance of Ms Busick's interactive style of teaching third graders. She lit fires and instilled confidence in both visual and auditory learners with her passion to leave no child behind. She brought the Arts into the Sciences and engaged students as Journeyman traveling through historical events in a classroom that had been transformed into pages of time. She truly has the gift to reach the stars and take her students with her. The only limitations that I can address with Ms Busick as a teacher and role model, is that her students would have liked to have her continue with them into middle school as their teacher. Natasha Busick is one to watch and catch a ride, if you're lucky enough. Forever Grateful The Kostas Family
