  The Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) supports communities to engage with, participate in and benefit from the energy transition to net zero emissions. It aims to accelerate progress towards the Scottish Government’s targets of 2GW of community and locally owned energy by 2030 and decarbonising Scotland’s buildings. This is achieved through funding and support for community groups to install renewable energy generation. - Responsible for supporting communities to deliver a portfolio of renewable energy projects including development of renewable installations, local energy systems, shared ownership and community benefits. - Strong skills in working with a wide range of stakeholders across all sectors. - Significant experience in project management. - Key partnership working skills whilst managing targets and delivering an excellent standard of service. - Experience in providing support and advice to communities and local organisations aiming to benefit from local energy and renewables. - Experience of funding appraisals, managing multiple projects, community development and financial and technical aptitude. - Skills in raising awareness and knowledge of CARES through the delivery of presentations at local, national, promotional and networking events
