Our entire process is electronic, and where possible we encourage our clients to use a cloud based bookkeeping solution such as Xero.       This was a commercial role where I headed up a team of financial accountants to produce management reports on a monthly basis.       As a financial accounting manager within a large credit card organisation I was part of the team responsible for reporting the financials to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis. Being a credit card company there were also a number of statutory and regulatory reporting that needed to be prepared weekly and monthly for which we as a team were responsible for publishing on time. It was a high pressured environment that required complete dedication and excellent time management. I implemented a number of initiatives within the finance team that sped up our monthly management reporting cycle and as a result, increased the accuracy and quality of the reports.

This included giving appraisals, authorising holiday requests, authorising expenses, etc, as well as reviewing work and providing training. It was a very intensive role that I really enjoyed.
