I am the director of my own growing firm of Chartered Certified accountants. We are fully licensed and regulated by the ACCA and maintain the highest of professional standards. We specialise in helping start up companies get on the right road from day one. We pride ourselves on being educators, which is why we regularly update our website with insightful articles for our clients to read and learn from. We also run workshops and seminars throughout the year which are open to all. Our entire process is electronic, and where possible we encourage our clients to use a cloud based bookkeeping solution such as Xero. Where the client is unable or unwilling to do this then we help them find a method they are comfortable with. We are reliable, friendly and current accountants who care.

This was a commercial role where I headed up a team of financial accountants to produce management reports on a monthly basis. During my time at Towergate I implemented new processes that increased the efficiency by which management reports where being produced on a monthly basis, reducing our service time down from working day 12 to working day 8. During my short time at this firm I managed a portfolio of clients and aided in the marketing of the firm to gain additional clients. I very much enjoyed going to networking events and making important business contacts in order to form alliances. Financial Accounting Manager

As a financial accounting manager within a large credit card organisation I was part of the team responsible for reporting the financials to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis. Being a credit card company there were also a number of statutory and regulatory reporting that needed to be prepared weekly and monthly for which we as a team were responsible for publishing on time. It was a high pressured environment that required complete dedication and excellent time management. I implemented a number of initiatives within the finance team that sped up our monthly management reporting cycle and as a result, increased the accuracy and quality of the reports.

I started my time with the Crossley Group in the year end accounts and audit department where I was a senior member of the team, both leading audits and preparing and reviewing accounts. My role developed whilst I was working for the firm, and I ended up being the assistant manager of the Accounts Department which was responsible for preparing and publishing management accounts and VAT returns, as well as performing bookkeeping for a number of our clients on varying levels of frequency (some being daily). In this role I aided in the management of the team of 26 people. This included giving appraisals, authorising holiday requests, authorising expenses, etc, as well as reviewing work and providing training. It was a very intensive role that I really enjoyed.
