2012- Prep Teacher to 18 students 2011- Year 2 teacher to 24 students Over the course of the two years, my duties and responsibilities included: - Conducting all parent/teacher interviews - Attending all level meetings and planning days in which I contributed to building units of work. - Co-ordinator of Pre-service teachers, which involved liaising with Universities across Melbourne and ensuring our school could provide mentors for as many students as possible. - Member of the ICT team, Assessment and Reporting committee, Maths committee and the Environment team. - Successfully planning and organising Level 1 and 2 excursions to ensure that all students were in a safe environment and they were continuing learning outside the classroom. - Planning and organising with assistance from other team members, events such as Late Night Experience, 100 Day of School Party, Grandparents Day and Athletics events. - Gaining experience in helping organise Prep Transition events to ensure a smooth transition for students leaving kinder and beginning school. - Co-ordinator for the Perceptual Motor Program which included planning and organising the appropriate equipment ready for classes to use. This also involved managing parents and educating them about the activities. - Gaining extended experience in an Oral Language Room to encourage speaking and listening for students with English as a second language.

Year 1/2 Teacher to 21 students comprising of 12 Grade 1’s and 9 Grade 2’s. There were a high percentage of students with English as a second language as the majority of the students were international.
